Cranberry Infused Vodka only takes about 15 minutes to make and makes a gorgeous gift with its deep Christmasy red color packaged in a beautiful decanter or festive jar.

1 pound fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
750 milliliter bottle vodka

Steps:

  • Place cranberries, sugar, vanilla extract, and one tablespoon of water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir frequently and let the mixture simmer for about five minutes or until the berries have burst.
  • Pour the mixture into a large pitcher and add the vodka. Mix well. Cover tightly and let sit in the refrigerator for one week.
  • After one week, strain the mixture using a small mesh strainer and then store the cranberry infused vodka covered in the refrigerator.
  • To serve, use your favorite cocktail recipe or pour a little of the cranberry vodka over ice and add tonic water to taste. Garnish with a slice of orange, lemon, or lime, and enjoy!

Yield 1 (750-ml) bottle of vodka

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pound fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract, or 1 vanilla bean, split
2 oranges, peels cut into 2-inch strips
1 (750-ml) bottle vodka
1 bottle tonic water
Lime slices, for garnish

Steps:

  • Place cranberries, sugar and vanilla in a medium saucepan. Place pan over medium heat and stir. Simmer cranberry mixture until the berries burst, about 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Place orange peels in a large glass container with an airtight lid, or large mason jars with lids. Pour vodka over the orange peels.
  • Allow the cranberry mixture to cool. Pour the cooled mixture into the glass container(s). Cover tightly and set aside for 1 week. After 1 week, strain out the cranberries sand orange peels and pour mixture into a clean bottle, using a funnel. Store vodka in the refrigerator.
  • To serve: Pour 2 ounces of vodka mixture over ice in a tall glass and top with tonic water. Garnish with a slice of lime.

4 cups cranberries ((fresh))
4 cups vodka ((I used Absolute))

Steps:

  • In a food processor, pulse 3 cups of cranberries until they are big chunks
  • Place chunked cranberries and whole cranberries in a big jar and pour vodka into the jar over the cranberries
  • Stir with a wooden spoon (or cap and shake jar) and cap jar and store on a shelf
  • Stir every day for 7 days
  • Line a strainer or sieve with cheesecloth and place it over a large bowl. Pour the contents of the jar over the sieve and throw away the cheesecloth and cranberries
  • Pour cranberry infused vodka in a large bottle with a lid or smaller jars with lids
  • Gift or hoard
  • Smile

1/4 c sugar
1/4 c water
2 c vodka

Steps:

  • 1. Place cranberries, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan.
  • 2. Cover and cook cranberries over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the cranberries start to pop.Then remove from the heat and let cool.
  • 3. Transfer the mixture into a large jar then pour the vodka over the top of the fruit.
  • 4. Make sure the jar is tightly sealed. Leave vodka set on the counter for a minimum of 3 days, shaking mixture every day.

  • Divide mixture in half and pour into large, clean mason jars. Pour vodka into the jars to cover the berries. Set aside and allow to sit for 1 week. After 1 week, strain out the cranberries and store cranberry vodka in a clean jar in the refrigerator.
  • To serve: Pour 2 ounces of vodka mixture over ice in a tall glass and top with tonic. Garnish with a slice of lime.

250g fresh or frozen cranberries or other berries
1l bottle vodka
175g caster sugar

Steps:

  • Prick each cranberry a couple of times with a fork and layer up in a large sterilised Kilner jar with the sugar. Pour over the vodka and leave for 2 weeks, shaking the jar each day.
  • Strain and decant into decorative bottles. Seal and label.
