Brandy slush is a Wisconsin favorite during the holiday season. This delicious brandy cocktail is infused with flavors of citrus and tea, and it's perfect for making in advance for parties. Garnish with fresh cranberries and rosemary for a festive look.

4 tea bags*
2 cups water
1 cup sugar
1 12-ounce container frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 12-ounce container frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
2 cups brandy
6 cups water
Club soda, seltzer water, or lemon lime soda
Orange slices

Steps:

  • Heat a large saucepan to medium-high. Add 2 cups water and sugar and heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring as needed. Remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep until cooled and discard tea bags.
  • Add tea syrup to a large freezer friendly container with remaining ingredients. Stir and cover with a an airtight lid.
  • Freeze overnight, or for a minimum of 6 hours.
  • To serve, scoop brandy slush into glasses and top with seltzer or soda. Garnish with an orange slice.

1 can (12 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 can (12 ounces) frozen cranberry juice concentrate, thawed
2 cups brandy
1 bottle (32 ounces) cranberry juice cocktail
2 bottles (1 liter each) lemon-lime soda pop or sparkling water

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients except soda pop in nonmetal container. Divide among pint containers. Cover and freeze at least 8 hours until slushy.
  • For each serving, mix equal amounts of slush mixture and soda pop in glass.

WHISKEY-CRANBERRY SLUSHES



Whiskey-Cranberry Slushes image

2 cups whiskey, preferably Crown Royal
6 cups cranberry juice
4 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
2 cups orange juice
Juice of 2 limes
1 cup sugar
1 cup fresh cranberries, diced
Mint leaves, for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine the whiskey, 3 cups cranberry juice, the pomegranate juice, orange juice, lime juice, sugar and 1/2 cup water in a large, shallow freezer-safe container. Stir well, then cover and freeze until the mixture is icy, stirring every 20 to 30 minutes, 4 to 5 hours.
  • Scrape the frozen mixture with a spoon and divide among glasses, filling them three-quarters of the way. Divide the remaining 3 cups cranberry juice among the glasses and top with the diced cranberries; stir until slushy and garnish with mint.

5 cups boiling water
4 (2 g) bags green tea
1 cup white sugar
1 (16 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
1 (16 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
2 cups brandy
1 (2 liter) bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

Steps:

  • Steep tea in 2 cups boiling water for 10 minutes. Place remaining 3 cups boiling water in a 9x13 inch pan. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Stir in lemonade concentrate, orange juice concentrate, and brandy. Remove tea bags and stir tea into mixture. Freeze overnight.
  • To serve, scoop desired amount into glass, then fill glass with lemon-lime soda, and stir.

8 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled

4 green or black tea bags
9 cups water, divided
2 cups brandy
1 can (12 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 can (12 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
EACH SERVING:
1/4 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
GARNISH:
Lime wedge, optional

  • Place tea bags in a small bowl. Bring 2 cups water to a boil; pour over tea bags. Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags. 12 cups lemon-lime soda, chilled

1 package (3 ounces) raspberry gelatin
1 cup boiling water
4 cups cranberry juice
2 cups cold water
2 cups rum
1 can (12 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 can (12 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
6 cups lemon-lime soda

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in the cranberry juice, cold water, rum and concentrates. Transfer to a 3-quart freezer container. Cover and freeze for 12 hours, stirring occasionally. May be frozen for up to 1 month., To use frozen cranberry mixture: In a punch bowl, combine cranberry mixture and soda.
