CRANBERRY ICED TEA: SNAPPLE COPYCAT RECIPE

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 cups of water
3 black tea bags
¾ cup sugar
3 tablespoons cranberry juice concentrate, thawed
⅓ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice - about 2 lemons
Garnish - cranberries and mint leaves, optional

Steps:

  • Boil 3 cups of water and steep tea bags about 8 minutes or until tea is dark and rich looking
  • Pour 5 cups of water into a pitcher, add tea after steeped
  • Stir in sugar and stir for a couple minutes to dissolve
  • Squeeze lemons and add juice to tea
  • Stir in cranberry concentrate
  • Place in fridge to chill
  • Serve with fresh cranberries and mint leaves if desired

STRAWBERRY BASIL ICED TEA

I made this using Thai basil and what a treat that was. If you have regular basil that will be fine too. Cooking time is chill time.

6 black tea bags, your favorite
4 cups water
1 cup basil leaves
sugar, to taste (or sweetener of choice)
1 cup water
10 large strawberries (sliced or chopped)
ice cube

Steps:

  • Brew tea for 5 to 8 minutes in 4 of boiling water (off heat).
  • Remove the tea bags.
  • Separately boil1 cup of water and add sugar and 1 cup of basil leaves, brew covered (off heat) for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the basil and add chopped strawberries and let it chill in the fridge.
  • Add the basil strawberry syrup to the cool or cold brewed tea.
  • Serve in glasses with ice and enjoy!.

  • The tea should still warm, so the sugar or sweetener will dissolve easily.
  • Add the flavoring ingredients (plus additional water if needed to bring the tea to the 2 quart line).
  • Chill.

1 12oz. can frozen cranberry juice concentrate
2 c water
1 l club soda

Steps:

  • 1. Steep 4 tea bags in 2 cups boiling water according to package directions. Discard bags.
  • 2. Stir in can of frozen cranberry juice concentrate. Cover and chill.
  • 3. When ready to serve, fill glass with some ice and about 1/4 full of tea mixture, top off with club soda.
