CAKE:
1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 box vanilla instant pudding mix
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 eggs
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup oil
1/2 cup white wine
FROSTING:
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup white wine

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix the all of the cake ingredients by hand or hand mixer. Grease a bundt pan. Pour the cake batter into the bundt pan. Bake for one hour. When cake is done baking, melt 1 stick butter, 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup wine in a small saucepan on the stove top. Don't bring to a boil, just make sure the butter is melted and the sugar dissolved. Pour over hot cake. Cool. Flip out of pan onto plate and serve.

THERE ARE NO ILLICIT INGREDIENTS IN THIS RECIPE!! It gets its name because once you have a bite, you can't get enough! Plus, the surface will sometimes crack when removing the pan from the oven. I got this recipe from a co-worker and it is always a hit.

FOR THE CRUST
1 box duncan hines butter cake mix
1 egg, room temperature
1 stick butter, room temperature
1/2 c nuts
FOR THE TOPPING
2 eggs, room temperature
1 box powdered sugar, 16oz
1 pkg philadelphia cream cheese, 8oz, room temperature

Steps:

  • 1. Combine crust ingredients in a large bowl with a wooden spoon, pressing butter pieces into each other until they form a ball. Spread into 13x9 foil pan.
  • 2. Combine topping ingredients in another large bowl and pour on top of crust mix.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Let cool before serving.

1 (7 1/2 ounce) can pumpkin puree
1 (7-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs, at room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 (15-ounce) box gluten-free yellow cake mix
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled. 1/2 cup
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped pecans)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch square or round baking pan and set it aside. In a medium-sized bowl, place the pumpkin, condensed milk, eggs, sugar and pumpkin pie spice, and beat until well-combined. Pour the pumpkin mixture into the prepared pan. Sprinkle ⅓ of the dry cake mix over the top and swirl it into the wet ingredients with a knife. Sprinkle the rest of the dry cake mix on top, and smooth carefully until it covers evenly. Pour the melted butter evenly on top of the cake. Next, sprinkle evenly with chips. Cover the top of the pan with foil. Place the cake in the center of the preheated oven, and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover, and bake for another 15 to 25 minutes, or until it has begun to brown around edges. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before slicing into squares or wedges and serving.

2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 eggs
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup oil
1/2 cup white wine, such as Pinot Grigio
GLAZE:
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup white wine

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a Bundt pan very well with cooking spray. Mix all the cake ingredients in a large bowl with a mixer. Pour into pan. Bake for 1 hour, or until a knife inserted comes out clean. Right before the cake is ready, melt the butter in a small pot. Add the sugar & wine, whisking to combine, but don't let it boil. Poke holes in the cake with a skewer or knife. Pour glaze over the cake. Cool then flip out onto a cake plate.
