Another great appetizer that combines the flavor of crab & bacon. Yum Prep time includes the 30 minute chill time

Yield 30 Appetizers

Number Of Ingredients 7

12 ounces crabmeat, fresh or canned
1/3 cup fine soft bread crumbs
2 tablespoons dry sherry
1 teaspoon chopped chives
1 teaspoon dried mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
10 slices bacon, cut into thirds

Steps:

  • Remove any shell or cartilage from crab meat and chop into small pieces.
  • Combine all ingredients except bacon, mix thoroughly.
  • Chill 30 minutes.
  • Portion crab mixture with a tablespoon, shape into small rolls.
  • Wrap bacon around crab rolls.
  • Secure with toothpicks.
  • Broil about 4 inches from heating element 6-7 minutes or until bacon is crisp Turn carefully, broil 4-5 minutes longer until bacon is crisp.

8 ounces cream cheese
1.5 cups mozzarella cheese
1 units green onions
1 teaspoons lemon pepper
1 teaspoons garlic salt
1 units lemon juice
1 packages crab meat
0.5 pounds bacon

Steps:

  • Step 1. In large mixing bowl combine cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, onion, lemon pepper, garlic salt, lemon zest and juice.
  • Step 2. Pull apart crab meat into small shredded pieces and add to mixture. Mix all together, being sure to incorporate all of cheeses.
  • Step 3. Make small balls and place a half piece of bacon around each ball. Place on broiler pan, seem side down. Fill pan leaving half an inch in-between each ball.
  • Step 4. Bake 375* for 30 minutes or until bacon is golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes and place on serving tray.
