1 (1 lb) smoked sausage, sliced into 1/2 inch pieces (I prefer Polska Kielbasa)
4 medium potatoes (peeled and cubed)
1 small onion (chopped)
1 bell pepper (chopped)
1/4 cup water

Steps:

  • Combine smoked sausage, potatoes, onion, bell pepper and water in a large pot.
  • Cover and simmer over medium heat 15 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are soft.

3 - 4 potatoes, sliced thin
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (10-1/2 oz) can spaghetti sauce

Steps:

  • Put potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

Recipe given to me by a dear friend! My 97 year old Mom & I love these, and it is so simple to make!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 lb bacon
1 1/2 dash(es) crushed red pepper
2 1/2 c diced sweet potatoes
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 c water
Med diced onion

Steps:

  • 1. Cook bacon slowly with just a dab of crushed red pepper. When about half done, drain bacon & pour off some of the grease.
  • 2. Put bacon back into the pan with diced sweet potatoes & salt & pepper to taste. (Can also use Morton's Natures Seasoning! This is what I use to season almost every thing I cook!)
  • 3. Add a bit of water & cook, covered until almost done. Add onions & cook until soft. ENJOY!
