GRAPE-LEMONADE GHOST ICE POPS

These kid-friendly ice pops will give anyone the shivers. Concord grape juice, fresh lemon juice, sugar, and water are mixed together, poured into molds, and frozen. It's a sweet treat for the spookiest day of the year.

1 cup pure Concord grape juice
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice (from 4 lemons)
2/3 cup sugar
6 raisins, halved
12 small honeydew melon balls (from 1/2 melon)

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together juices, sugar, and 1/2 cup water until sugar dissolves. Slightly flatten each raisin half and press one against flat side of each melon ball. Using a skewer, wedge 2 melon balls, raisins facing out, in bottom third of each of six 3-ounce ice-pop molds. Pour juice mixture into each mold, insert ice-pop sticks, and freeze until solid, about 3 hours (or up to 1 week).

1 unsweetened, flavored soft drink mix package
1 cup white sugar
2 cups boiling water
2 cups cold water

Steps:

  • Dissolve gelatin, soft drink mix and sugar in boiling water. Stir in cold water and pour into popsicle molds or small plastic drinking cups. Add popsicle sticks when firm but not frozen completely; freeze until hard.

1 (20 ounce) bottle vanilla cream soda
2 cups water
½ cup white sugar
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Pour cream soda into a bowl and whisk until no longer bubbly; set aside.
  • Heat water and sugar in a saucepan over medium high heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes.
