Chocolate marshmallow squares. Very colorful, yummy looking, tasty. Kids really like them. On a hot day they taste great. This recipe came from my sister.

1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1 (250 g) bag marshmallows

Steps:

  • Melt butter and peanut butter.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Cool.
  • Add marshmallows.
  • Press in a 9 x 9 pan and refrigerate.
  • Cut into squares.

These have become a staple in our family around Christmas time. This recipe will make 2 9x9 pans. Every year I make these at Christmas I end up making 2 pans, one for my family and one pan for my cousin Stephanie who is a confetti square addict! These are so easy and so delicious.

1/2 cup margarine
2 cups smooth peanut butter
2 cups butterscotch chips
2 (250 g) bags miniature marshmallows

Steps:

  • Line 2 9x9 rectangle pans with waxed paper (I found this was the easiest way to clean up afterwards).
  • In a large microwave safe bowl add margarine and peanut butter; microwave for about 1-2 minutes or until everything is melted, NOT sizzling.
  • As soon as it come out of the microwave add the butterscotch chips.
  • Let cool for a minute or two.then add the two bags of marshmallows.
  • Mix everything up until all marshmallows are coated.
  • Pour mixture evenly into 2 pans, or if you like them really thick you can just use one pan.
  • Transfer pans to fridge, wait till everything has set. Cut and enjoy!

A twist on an old favorite, this recipe combines two kinds of sweet cereals with Rice Krispies. These squares are perfect as after-school snacks.

9 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon salt
12 cups (2 1/2 bags) miniature marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
6 cups Cap'n Crunch cereal
6 cups Froot Loops cereal
Vegetable-oil cooking spray

Steps:

  • Lightly spray a 9-by-9-by-2-inch baking pan with vegetable-oil cooking spray; set aside. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add salt and marshmallows; stir with a wooden spoon until melted. Remove from heat. Add Rice Krispies, Cap'n Crunch, and Froot Loops, and stir until combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. To prevent sticking, coat your hands with vegetable spray, and press the mixture evenly into the pan. Let cool, about 30 minutes.
  • Cut into 3-by-3-inch bars. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

This awesome recipe was adapted from a Martha Stewart recipe - you can change the cereals to suit your taste and I often use Captain Krunch cereal instead of the Fruit Loops. As long as you have 18 cups of cereal, you can make any combination your family loves! Enjoy!

9 tablespoons butter
12 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies
6 cups Fruit Loops cereal
6 cups Lucky Charms cereal

Steps:

  • Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
  • Mix all of the cereals together in a large bowl.
  • In a large kettle, melt the butter and miniature marshmallows until smooth.
  • Pour the marshmallow mixture over the cereal, mixing until all the cereal is coated.
  • Dump the cereal mixture into the pan and with buttered hands, gently press the cereal down until even in the pan.
  • Let cool - cut and enjoy!

1 cup peanut butter (you can use 1/2 cup if you want it less peanutty and more butterscotch-y)
1/2 cup good quality butter
12 oz. pkg of butterscotch baking chips
12 oz. bag of "fruit flavored" colored marshmallows (big bag)

Steps:

  • Melt peanut butter, butter, and butterscotch chips together in a big pt. Melt until smooth. Let mixture cool down until you can touch bottom of pot with the palm of your hand without pain. Add marshmallow. Stir to coat. Put in 9x13pan lied with wax paper. Put in refrigerator until cold and set. Cut into squares and keep refrigerated. Can freeze for at least 9 months.

1/2 c butter
1 c peanut butter
1 pkg butterscotch chips
1 pkg fruit flavored mini marshmallows

Steps:

  • 1. Grease a 9x13 inch pan. In a large pot, melt butter, peanut butter and butterscotch chips on low heat.
  • 2. Stir with a spatula until mixture is smooth.
  • 3. Watch carefully because this is so easy to burn if you turn your back for a second.
  • 4. Remove pot from stove and let mixture cool slightly (you don't want mixture too hot because it will melt the marshmallows).
  • 5. Mix marshmallows into peanut butter mixture. Pour into greased pan.
  • 6. Place in fridge until squares are firm. Cut into squares with a sharp knife. Store in fridge.
  • 7. Note: you can serve these in cupcake liners to make them look dressed up for a party.

2 cups water boiling
1 (6-ounce) package orange jello lemon, or lime gelatin
1 1/2 cups water cold
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups cabbage finely shredded and chopped
1 cup carrot finely shredded
1 (2-ounce) jar pimiento diced
1 teaspoon celery seeds (optional)

Steps:

  • Pour boiling water over gelatin in a large bowl stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in cold water. Chill until consistency of unbeaten egg whites.Stir in vinegar and salt. Fold in cabbage, carrots, pimientos, and celery seeds. Pour into a 12 x 8 x 2-inch glass dish. Chill 2 hours or until set.To serve, cut into squares. If desired, serve on lettuce leaves.
