This homemade Cream of Chicken Soup Substitute is creamy, flavorful, and tastes SO much better than the can! Best part is, it only takes 10 minutes to make! Makes the equivalent of one (10.75 oz) can.

Steps:
- In a small saucepan whisk together milk and cornstarch. Add butter, bouillon, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and parsley.
- Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Once boiling, simmer for 30 more seconds to thicken.
- Use in recipes to replace one (10.75 oz) can of cream of (anything) soup.

Steps:
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add flour to melted butter and whisk rapidly until mixture is thick, about 2 minutes.
- Add chicken stock; whisk until smooth. Add milk and bring to a simmer. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened, 3 to 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper.

CONDENSED CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP SUBSTITUTE
Condensed Cream Of Mushroom Soup is very uncommon here and is therefore pretty expensive. Here is what I use instead, it would also be good if you prefer not to use the highly processed version and would be a good way to reduce salt if you use low sodium broth or could be made vegetarian by using vegetable broth

Steps:
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
- Saute mushrooms until cooked through.
- Stir in flour a little at a time until a paste is formed and remove from heat.
- Add broth and milk a little at a time, stirring to keep mixture smooth.
- Return to the heat and bring sauce to a gentle boil, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
- Add salt and pepper to taste. I find it usually doesn't need salt and only a couple of dashes of pepper.
