4 cups frozen peas (about 16 ounces), thawed
1 package (14 ounces) coleslaw mix
4 green onions, chopped
1 cup poppy seed salad dressing
1 cup sweet and crunchy peanuts or honey-roasted peanuts

Steps:

  • Place peas, coleslaw mix and green onions in a large bowl. Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat. Stir in peanuts just before serving.

CRUNCHY COLESLAW WITH SWEET PEAS



Crunchy Coleslaw with Sweet Peas image

This is a different type of coleslaw, and it is great with the peas and yellow pepper. I included this recipe in some of the recipes I handed out at bazaars when I was a Longaberger consultant, with suggestions on products to serve this great and colorful slaw in!

1/2 c frozen sweet peas, cooked, drained, cooled
16 oz bag coleslaw mix
1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
6 Tbsp cider vinegar
3 Tbsp canola oil
1/4 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients. Toss to coat. Serve immediately.

ASIAN COLE SLAW WITH SNOW PEAS



Asian Cole Slaw With Snow Peas image

This is my version of a recipe from my Cuisinart food processor. Needless to say, that's what I use to make this.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 tablespoon ginger
1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
4 radishes
1 large carrot
6 ounces red cabbage
6 ounces green cabbage
3 ounces snow peas or 3 ounces sugar snap peas, trimmed and strings removed

Steps:

  • Using the metal blade, chop ginger in food processor. Add remaining dressing ingredients except for oil and process. Slowly pour oil through feed tube and emulisfy.
  • Set dressing aside and clean bown.
  • Using the shredding blade, shred radishes and carrots. Replace blade with slicing blade and process cabbage.
  • Mix all vegetables with peas and toss with dressing.

1/3 cup oil
4 tablespoons vinegar
5 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper, to taste
3 ounces toasted slivered almonds
1/4-1/2 cup dried cranberries (craisins)

Steps:

  • Put cole slaw mix into bowl.
  • Mix together the oil, vinegar, sugar, salt & pepper.
  • Pour over cole slaw mix.
  • Toast almonds on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
  • Put almonds and craisins into slaw mix and toss.

A little "zing" to the all-known coleslaw. Eventhough there are just the two of us, I make the whole recipe. It keeps well in the fridge.

1 head cabbage, cored and shredded
8 green onions, chopped
16 ounces green peas (frozen)
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons curry powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix cabbage, onions and peas.
  • In a separate bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, curry powder, ginger, and cayenne pepper.
  • Toss with the slaw to coat.
  • Cover and refrigerate.
