Honey Whole Wheat Bread (Bread Machine) image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 c water
2/3 c milk
1/3 c honey
1 large egg
1 1/2 Tbsp butter, cut into pieces
2 2/3 c bread flour
1 1/3 c whole wheat flour
1 Tbsp plus 2 teaspoons of wheat gluten
2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp saf yeast, or 1 tbsp plus 1/2 tsp bread machine yeast, or 1 packet of active dry yeast

Steps:

  • 1. Place all the ingredients in the pan accoring to the order in the manufacturer's directions. Set crust on medium and program for the Basic cycle; press Start. (This recipe is not suitable for use with the Delay Timer.)
  • 2. When the baking cycle ends, immediately remove the bread from the pan and place it on a rack. Let cool to room temperature before slicing.
