Not everyone will be a fan of this earthy, sweet drink. Depends what tea you use really. I use Earl Grey Black Tea, but you can use any tea you love. Try out this unique drink.

1 ½ cups boiling water
1 Earl Grey tea bag
3 tablespoons milk
1 ½ tablespoons hot cocoa mix
2 teaspoons white sugar

Steps:

  • Pour boiling water into a mug and steep tea bag, about 2 minutes. Remove tea bag; add milk, hot cocoa mix, and sugar. Stir until well-blended, about 20 seconds.

Hot Cocoa Mix image

I make this at the beginning of the cold weather, and have it ready all winter. Vary the flavor of your mix by trying flavored nondairy creamer; I like the cinnamon.

10 cups dry milk powder
4 ¾ cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1 ¾ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ¾ cups powdered non-dairy creamer

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine milk powder, confectioner's sugar, cocoa powder, and creamer. Stir till thoroughly combined. Store cocoa mixture in an airtight container. Makes about 15 cups mix, or enough for about 45 servings.
  • For 1 serving, place 1/3 cup cocoa mixture in a coffee cup or mug, and add 3/4 cup boiling water. Stir to dissolve. Top with dollop of whipped cream or a few marshmallows, if desired.
