Cinnamon Pizza Sticks With Dipping Glaze image

Use a purchased refrigerated pizza dough or use your own favorite recipe. The success of these pizza sticks with fully depend on the quality of your pizza dough, may I say that if you are using your homemade pizza dough prepare your dough using vegetable oil in place of olive oil. If you use a large amount of pizza dough then double all ingredients. Yield will depend on how large you cut the dough sticks and the size of prepared dough you use.

•1/2 Can of Fried Apples (or apple pie filling)
•1 cup Sugar
•Cinnamon (to taste)
•4 tbsp or 1/2 stick Butter (approx)

Steps:

  • 1Turn broiler on to preheat 2Prepare cinnamon & sugar mixture: Pour cup of sugar onto a plate (or in a bag) and sprinkle cinnamon to your liking. COFFEE SUCKERS WITH CINNAMON STICKS

Coffee Suckers with Cinnamon Sticks image

Provided by Food Network

Categories     dessert

Time 1h5m

Yield 10 coffee suckers

Number Of Ingredients 5

10 cinnamon sticks
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup corn syrup
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon coffee extract or 1 teaspoon instant coffee mixed with 1 teaspoon hot water

Steps:

  • Line lollipop collar molds with cinnamon sticks and lay on a silpat or greased cookie sheet. Combine all of the ingredients, except the coffee extract, in a clean, dry small saucepan fitted with a candy thermometer and bring to a boil over high heat. Without stirring, cook until the mixture reaches 305 degrees or "hard crack" stage on the candy thermometer. (While the syrup is cooking, occasionally wash down the sides of the pan with a clean brush dipped in water, to prevent crystallization.) Half-fill a large bowl with ice water. When the mixture is done, remove the pot from the heat and dip it into the ice bath for 15 seconds to stop the cooking. Remove the pot from the ice bath and swirl in the coffee extract. To avoid air bubbles in the finished lollipops, stir the mixture gently in both directions, and be careful not to over mix. Pour the syrup into the molds, filling them 2/3 full or just pour the slightly cooled (so it's a little thickened) syrup in coin shapes at the ends of the cinnamon sticks. Cool at least 20 minutes, until hard. Remove from molds or from silpat. Store in an airtight container.

CITRUS-CINNAMON STIR STICKS

Citrus-Cinnamon Stir Sticks image

To add a little zest to hot cider, our home economists came up with these simple stirrers. Once the stirrer is added to the beverage, the orange strip will eventually fall off the cinnamon stick...but that's all right. It will continue to add flavor.

Provided by Taste of Home

Categories     Desserts

Time 1h

Yield 1 dozen.

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 medium navel oranges
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
12 cinnamon sticks (5 inches)
Additional sugar, optional

Steps:

  • Using a citrus stripper or vegetable peeler, cut 12 strips of peel from oranges, about 4-6 in. long. In a small saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 12 minutes., Place one orange strip at a time in hot syrup; cook for 3 minutes. Remove orange strip to waxed paper; when cool enough to handle, wrap strip around a cinnamon stick. Dip into hot syrup; place on a wire rack. Sprinkle with sugar if desired. Let stand until dry.
