Sunday football watching has just gotten a little sweeter thanks to these football-shaped dessert bars made with Cheerios cereal, chocolate chips, peanut butter and marshmallows.

1/2 cup butter
1 bag (11.5 oz) milk chocolate chips (2 cups)
1 cup peanut butter
1 bag (10.5 oz) miniature marshmallows (5 1/2 cups)
4 cups Chocolate Cheerios™ cereal
3/4 cup whipping cream
1 pouch (7 oz) Betty Crocker™ Cookie Icing white icing

Steps:

  • In large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add 1 cup of the chocolate chips and the peanut butter; cook and stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Add marshmallows; cook and stir until melted. Remove from heat; stir in cereal.
  • Press mixture in ungreased 13x9-inch pan. Cool 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, in small saucepan, heat whipping cream and remaining 1 cup chocolate chips over low heat until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Refrigerate about 30 minutes until ganache is cooled and thickened.
  • Line cookie sheet with waxed paper or cooking parchment paper. Cut bars with 2- to 3-inch football-shaped cookie cutter. Dip tops of bars in ganache. Place on cookie sheet; let stand until set.
  • With cookie icing, pipe laces on each football. Let stand until set.

These Gooey Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Bars could not be more delicious and perfect for a back to school weekend dessert!

3 cups Reese's Puffs™ cereal Peanut Butter
3 cups Chocolate Cheerios™ cereal
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup white candy melts, melted
1 cup chocolate candy melts, melted

Steps:

  • Place cereal and marshmallows into a large mixing bowl. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and spray generously with cooking spray.
  • Place brown sugar, corn syrup and peanut butter into a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir and let boil for one minute. Remove and stir in vanilla and salt. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until well combined, the marshmallows will melt while stirring. Pour cereal mixture into prepared baking dish spreading and pressing evenly, will be sticky, doesn't have to be perfect. Drizzle top layer with melted white chocolate then with melted chocolate.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve room temperature.
