- Preheat oven to 350°. Place flour in a small bowl; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in 1/2 cup walnuts. Press onto bottom of an ungreased 13x9-in. baking dish. Bake until light golden brown, 12-15 minutes. Cool completely on a wire rack., In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth; fold in 1 carton whipped topping. Spread over crust. In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes. Gently spread over cream cheese layer. Top with remaining whipped topping. Sprinkle with chocolate chunks and remaining walnuts. Refrigerate until cold., Cut into bars. Just before serving, drizzle with chocolate syrup.

- Layer 1: soften margarine. Mix with flour, add pecans. Put into 9 x 13 baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove and cool completely.
- Layer 2: Mix powdered sugar with cream cheese, add 1 cup of cool whip, and spread on crust.
- Layer 3: Mix instant pudding with milk. Follow pkg directions and spread over layers.
- Layer 4: Top the 3 layers with remaining Cool Whip. Garnish with shaved chocolate bar and top with cherries and chopped nuts.

- 1. Preheat oven to 350. Mix together crust ingredients. Press into 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake for 20-30 minutes. Don't let it brown. Cool.
- 2. Beat ingredients for first layer. Spread over cooled crust. Let set up a little in the fridge.
- 3. Prepare the vanilla pudding. Spread over first layer being careful not to combine the layers.
- 4. Prepare the chocolate pudding. Spread over second layer being careful not to combine the layers.
- 5. Spread whipped topping over third layer being careful not to combine the layers.
- 6. Put dessert into fridge and let chill completely. Sprinkle top with grated chocolate bar if desired.
CHOCOLATE LAYER DESSERT
This dessert has 3 layers.....a crust, a cream cheese center, and a chocolate layer on top. It is a very light tasting dessert for those who don't like sweet desserts. It is a great dessert for potlucks. I always come home with an empty pan! Cooking time does not include refrigeration time!

- Crush cookies into fine crumbs, either with a food processor or by placing cookies in a sealed plastic bag and crushing with a rolling pin. Place crumbs in a large bowl and mix with melted butter. Gently press into the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 13-inch dish.
- In a large bowl with an electric mixer, beat cream cheese, sugar, and 2 Tbsp. milk until smooth and creamy. Stir in 1-1/4 cups COOL WHIP. Spread over cookie crust.
- In a second bowl, beat 1 cup milk and pudding mix on low speed for 2 minutes. Spread over crust. Top with remaining COOL WHIP and mini chocolate chips.

- Line 8-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Process cookies in food processor until finely ground; mix with butter. Press onto bottom of prepared pan.
- Place 3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate in medium microwaveable bowl; add 2 Tbsp. milk. Microwave on HIGH 30 sec.; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Repeat with 2 oz. white chocolate and 2 Tbsp. milk in separate microwaveable bowl. Then, repeat with remaining semi-sweet chocolate, remaining white chocolate and 2 Tbsp. of the remaining milk in third microwaveable bowl. Cool.
- Beat pudding mix and remaining milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir 1/3 cup pudding mixture and 2 tsp. cocoa powder into melted semi-sweet chocolate. Stir 1/3 cup of the remaining pudding mixture into each of the remaining 2 bowls of melted chocolate until blended. Gently stir 1 cup COOL WHIP into chocolate mixture in each bowl.
- Layer pudding mixtures over crust, starting with semi-sweet/cocoa mixture and ending with white chocolate mixture, smoothing top of each layer before adding the next. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.
- Use foil handles to remove dessert from pan just before serving. Sprinkle lightly with remaining cocoa powder. Cut into 9 squares, then cut each square diagonally in half.

- In lg bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and 1 cup cool whip until smooth. Spread onto cooled baked layer.
