In Western New York almost everyone knows what Charlie Chaplin chocolate is. You can find it at the famous Broadway Market, or use this recipe and save yourself the trip there. Chilling time not included. You will need One aluminum loaf pan. * A little hint they use Merckens milk chocolate melting wafers, you can also substitute dark or white whatever you prefer.

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 lbs chocolate wafers
1 1/2-2 cups salted cashews
1 cup coconut flakes
24 marshmallows

Steps:

  • Melt the chocolate in the top of a double boiler. Or in microwave stirring every 15 to 30 seconds depending on your microwaves power.
  • Add coconut flakes to chocolate and mix together.
  • take Aluminum loaf pan and add just enough of the coconut chocolate mixture, to coat the bottom and sides of the pan.
  • To the remaining chocolate add the cashews and mix together.
  • Fill the pan with 12 marshmallows and then pour chocolate mixture over marshmallows covering them and filling the pan to about half way.
  • Add the remaining 12 marshmallows to the tin and pour the chocolate mixture over them, filling the tin.
  • Chill, when firm cut into small pieces.

This dense rich chocolate cake oozes decadence, yet is fast and easy enough for anyone to make. The cake can be wrapped in plastic and frozen for up to a month. Serve with ice cream, creme fraiche, or a dusting of powdered sugar.

cooking spray (cooking spray blend of oil and flour)
10 tablespoons unsalted butter
8 ounces 60% cacao chocolate, chopped
2 large eggs
2/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Place a rack at the centre of the oven., Heat oven to 350°F Use the baking spray to coat sides and bottom of a 9-inch round springform pan.
  • In a small saucepan over medium-high , bring butter to a boil, stirring several times to prevent it from burning.
  • Remove pan from heat and add chocolate, stirring until melted and smooth. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar. Add flour and mix well. Add chocolate and butter mixture, then mix only until just combined. Pour batter into preapred cake pan.
  • Bake cake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 300°F and bake for an additional 8 minutes. Remove cake from oven and let cool completely in pan. Unmold and serve.

6 ounces warm milk
1 dash chocolate syrup
1 pinch ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Put a little Hersheys syrup in the bottom of a glass and add warm milk.
  • Mix well.
  • Add Voyant on top to fill glass and then froth up.
  • Sprinkle powdered nutmeg or cinnamon on top and serve warm as an after dinner drink.

2 c sugar
1 stick margarine
1/2 c milk
4 Tbsp cocoa
3 c oatmeal (quick)
2 tsp vanilla flavoring
1/2 c peanut butter

Steps:

  • 1. 1. Boil milk, cocoa, and sugar for app. 5 minutes. 2. Remove from heat and add butter. 3.Stir until butter is melted. 4. Add peanut butter, vanilla, and oatmeal. 5. Mix and pour into greased casserole dish.
  • 2. 6. Let set until firm. 7. Cut into squares.
