- In a large bowl, toss 1-1/2 cups pretzels with sugar and melted butter. Press into an ungreased 13x9-in. dish., In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping., Spread half of the mixture over pretzel layer. Top with pie filling; spread with remaining cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with remaining pretzels. Refrigerate, covered, overnight before serving.,

I watch 5 of our 10 grandchildren..I made this dessert for them and they just loved it..It is a combination of sweet and salty...

Steps:
- 1. Melt the margarine ,stir in the sugar and remove from heat.
- 2. Add pretzels,mix and save 3/4 c. of the mixture for the top. Put the rest of the pretzel mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
- 3. Beat the cream cheese,confectioners sugar,and vanilla till fluffy. Fold in the cool whip then spread half the mixture ontop of he pretzels in your pan. top with the pie fillingand add remaining half of cream cheese mixture on top of the cherry pie filling. Top with thr reserved 3/4 c.of pretzel mixture.
- 4. chill 3 ta 4 hours and serve...You could use your favorite pie filling in place of the cherry pie filling.

Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine pretzels, sugar and margarine.
- Set aside 1/2 cup for the topping.
- Press the remaining mixture into an ungreased 13x9 pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat whipped topping mix, milk, and vanilla at high speed for about 4 minutes or until soft peaks form.
- Add cream cheese and confectioners sugar and beat until smooth.
- Spread half of the mixture over the crust.
- Top with cherry pie filling and the remaining cream cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle with the reserved pretzel mixture.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

- Combine cracker crumbs and butter; press onto the bottom of a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish., In a large bowl, beat the egg whites, vinegar and vanilla on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, on high until stiff glossy peaks form and sugar is dissolved. Spread meringue evenly over crust. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on a wire rack., Spread pie filling over meringue. Top with whipped cream. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
