Number Of Ingredients 12

1 cup butter, softened
1-3/4 cups sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
ICING:
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon whole milk
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture., Spread 3 cups batter into an ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Spread pie filling over batter. Drop remaining batter by teaspoonfuls over top., Bake 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Combine confectioners' sugar, milk and vanilla; stir until smooth. Drizzle over bars.

this is a great dessert that goes with any meal i am asked to make it a lot to take to dinners and parties

1 box yellow cake mix
1/4 c butter, melted
2 medium eggs
1-- 21 oz cherry pie filling
11/2 c coconut, shredded
1/2 c chopped nuts
2 Tbsp butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1. heat oven to 350. grease bottom of 13x9 inch cake pan. combine cake mix, butter and eggs in a bowl, then press into prepared pan.
  • 2. spread cherry pie filling on top of cake mic crust. sprinkle with coconut and nuts, drizzle with butter.
  • 3. bake for 30 minutes. cool before cutting
