This was another one of Grandma's simple Christmas candy recipes. The kids loved these.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 c chocolate chips
1/2 c creamy peanut butter
3 1/2 c cheerios
1/2 c peanuts, chopped, optional

Steps:

  • 1. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together. Stir until smooth. Gently fold in cereal. Spoon individual clusters onto wax paper. Cool in refridgerator until set.

I never thought that this would make a good bar but it is actually makes a good bar to give your child when he or she is in a hurry. Breakfast for the child that runs out the door without a big breakfast.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 c white corn syrup
2 c sugar
4 c peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 c cheerios
12 oz chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. In a large pan bring corn syrup and sugar to a boil. Remove from heat, add peanut butter and vanilla, mix well. Stir in cheerios, working quickly. Pat mixture into 2 buttered 13x9 inch pans. Sprinkle top with chocolate chips and let melt, spread with spatula. Cool, cut into squares. Makes 8 dozen.
