Number Of Ingredients 5

½ cup sugar
4 cups water
4 cups chopped fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, papaya, strawberries, oranges, peaches, mangoes, or any combination)
Ice cubes
Lemon or lime wedges (optional)

Steps:

  • Stir the sugar and water together in a large pitcher until the sugar dissolves. Measure out 1 cup. Puree the fruit and the 1 cup sugar water in a blender. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer back into the pitcher with the sugar water, mashing with a whisk or wooden spoon to eliminate any pulp.
  • Taste and add more sugar, if desired. Serve over ice, with a lemon or lime wedge, if desired.

Yield 1 8 oz cocktail, 1 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 ounces strawberry vodka (Stoli, Smirnoff, etc)
7 ounces diet 7-Up (regular can be used if you prefer, also, if you want the drink to be less sweet, then substitute clu)
3 fresh strawberries, sliced
2 slices limes (small wedges)
1 teaspoon sugar

Steps:

  • Place the strawberries and lime wedges in the bottom of your cocktail glass. Muddle.
  • Add the strawberry vodka.
  • Add the 7-Up.
  • Gradually add the sugar to match your taste preference. (You can also add the sugar in the first step, this will make the fruit a little sweeter. I personally recommend this method if you like your drink to be a little on the sweet side.).
