Steps:
- Combine gelatin, pecans, and coconut. Stir in milk and vanilla; mix well. Chill one hour.
- Shape into strawberries. Roll in red sugar; tint sliced almonds with green food coloring and insert in top of "berries" to form leaves.

Here is another tasty treat that I helped my mom make around Christmas time growing up. When I make them now people look at them and don't get it. Then they take a bite and get it. They are really good and have great texture! I borrowed this picture but will post my own when I make them again soon!

Steps:
- 1. Mix together jello powder, pecans, coconut, condensed milk and vanilla.
- 2. Shape into strawberries. Use damp hands, this can get sticky! Place in a large dish and chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
- 3. Divide the sugar up and mix red coloring in one bowl and green in another. Mix together with a fork.
- 4. Roll the strawberries in the red sugar first then dip the top in the green. Makes about 48 depending on how big you make them.

- In a bowl, combine walnuts, coconut and gelatin. Stir in milk and vanilla; mix well. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour. Meanwhile, combine water and green food coloring; add almonds. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until almonds are deep green. Drain and let dry on paper towels. Using rounded teaspoonfuls of dough, form into strawberry shapes. Roll sides in red sugar; dip top end into green sugar. Insert an almond in the top for a stem. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

- Mix together the first five ingredients. Shape mixture into strawberries using about a tablespoon of candy mixture. Chill one hour. Roll chilled berries in sugar crystals. Add food color to almonds to tind a delicate green. Use for leaves and stems. Store in a cool place. 1 pound 3 ounces of candy.

This is in response to a request. A friend of mine always makes these at Christmas and I found the recipe in "The Best of Mayberry" cookbook. They are very sugary sweet! Great for parties.

- Mix first 5 ingredients together (excluding the extra 3 Tbsp of strawberry gelatin).
- Chill in refrigerator for 4 hours.
- Roll into balls and shape in the form of strawberries.
- Roll in the 3 Tbsp of gelatin.
- Top with"leaves" made from almonds dyed green of green tinted powdered sugar icing.
