Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
6 cups rice chex
6 cups corn chex

Steps:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 2-1/2 minutes or until sugar is dissolved and corn syrup is bubbly, stirring frequently. Stir in vanilla and baking soda; microwave 20 seconds longer or until the mixture begins to foam. , In a large bowl, combine the cereals. Add syrup mixture and toss to coat. Transfer to two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake, uncovered, at 300° for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Remove to waxed paper to cool. Store in an airtight container.

1 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup margarine
5 cups Rice Chex

Steps:

  • Combine brown sugar, corn syrup and margarine.
  • Microwave on high for 1 minute Take out and stir until blended.
  • Return to high setting until boiling (about 2 1/2 min).
  • Cook 3 minutes longer.
  • Add Rich Chex.
  • Spread out on cookie sheet and cool.
  • Break into pieces.
  • *Can add nuts when mixing with Chex.

1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg white
1 tablespoon water
1 pound pecan halves

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
  • Mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt together in a bowl.
  • Whisk egg white and water together in a separate bowl until frothy. Toss pecans in the egg white mixture. Mix sugar mixture into pecan mixture until pecans are evenly coated. Spread coated pecans onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes, until pecans are evenly browned, 1 hour.
