What could be better than waffles? Chocolate waffles, of course. This easy recipe starts with a box of Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ cake mix, and can be topped with maple syrup, whipped cream or even ice cream.

1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ cake mix (any flavor)
Water, oil and eggs called for on cake mix box

Steps:

  • Heat waffle maker. (Waffle makers without nonstick coating may need to be brushed with vegetable oil or sprayed with cooking spray.)
  • Make cake batter as directed on box, using water, oil and eggs.
  • For each waffle, pour batter onto center of hot waffle maker. (Check manufacturer's directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle maker. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Carefully remove waffle.
  • Serve waffles warm or cold with toppings of your choice.

Cake Mix Pancakes are delicious, fun and so easy to make! They're perfect for a birthday or special occasion, and they taste amazing!

2 cups flour
3/4 cup white or yellow cake mix
1/4 cup sugar
5 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup rainbow sprinkles
for serving: additional sprinkles and whipped cream

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cake mix, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, and mix until just combined (a few small lumps are okay). Let the batter sit for 10 minutes.
  • While the batter is resting, preheat a griddle or large skillet over medium heat. When the griddle is heated, stir in the sprinkles. Lightly grease the griddle, and pour the batter by 1/4 cup scoops onto the hot griddle.
  • Cook 3-4 minutes, or until there are bubbles all over the tops of the pancakes, then flip and cook and additional 2-3 minutes, until browned on the bottom.
  • Serve warm with whipped cream and sprinkles.

1/2 cup flour
2 large eggs
2 1/2 cups milk*
1/4 cup oil

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, flour, eggs, milk and oil together until combined and smooth.
  • Heat a griddle to medium high heat and spray with cooking spray so the pancakes flip easily.
  • Scoop a ladle of batter onto the pan and cook until the top of the batter starts to bubble.
  • Flip the pancake and cook for another minute on the other side until cooked all the way through.
  • Continue until all of the batter is used.

1 1/2 c bisquick baking mix
1 c yellow cake mix
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
3 Tbsp vegetable oil
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
1-2 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. Mix dry ingredients together; add eggs, vanilla and 1 cup of the milk and stir to blend- add more milk to make of pancake batter consistency. Spray griddle or waffle iron with cooking spray. Pour 1/3 of batter per pancake or waffle. Cook until edges become dry and lightly browned pancake turning only once.
  • 2. Note: The kids are going to love these, great with chocolate cake mix, or spice or cherry or lemon, you see where I'm going with this- your going to love these! So easy!

8 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups buttermilk blend powder
1/2 cup sugar
8 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons baking soda

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 eggs, separated

  • In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients with a wire whisk. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 6 months. Yield: about 7 batches of pancakes or about 4 batches of waffles (11 cups total)., To prepare pancakes: In a medium bowl, beat egg, water and oil. Whisk in 1-1/2 cups pancake/waffle mix. Let stand for 5 minutes. Pour batter by 1/3 cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle; turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes. Cook until the second side is golden brown. Yield: about 6 pancakes., To prepare waffles: In a large bowl, beat egg yolks, water and oil. Stir in 2-1/2 cups pancake/waffle mix just until moistened. In a bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into the batter. Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions until golden brown. Yield: 13 waffles (about 4 inches) per batch.
