1 cup mayonnaise
¼ cup white sugar
2 tablespoons seasoned rice wine vinegar
1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon dry mustard
½ teaspoon celery salt
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (28 ounce) package coleslaw mix

Steps:

  • Whisk mayonnaise, sugar, rice wine vinegar, lemon juice, horseradish, onion powder, dry mustard, celery salt, salt, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl, stirring to dissolve sugar. Fold coleslaw mix into dressing. Cover bowl and refrigerate 1 hour before serving.

This is our go-to recipe for creamy coleslaw. Freshly shredded green and red cabbage and carrots are tossed with a tangy, creamy dressing made up of mayonnaise, sour cream and cider vinegar. We also use dry mustard to add a subtle kick and celery salt and honey for a touch of sweetness. It's perfect for your next cookout!

2/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon celery salt
7 cups shredded green cabbage (about 1/2 small head)
1 cup shredded red cabbage
1 cup shredded carrots
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

Steps:

  • Whisk the mayonnaise, sour cream, vinegar, honey, mustard powder and celery salt in a large bowl until combined. Add both cabbages and the carrots; toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover the slaw and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Toss again and season with salt and pepper.

3/4 cup best-quality mayonnaise

I enjoy it crunchy. Added Chopped green pepper, extra carrots, chopped green onion. then I came up with the Buffalo wing sauce variation...

1 pkg chopped cole slaw
1 c green pepper chopped
1 bunch green onion chopped
1 tsp pepper herbs
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp Herbs de Provence
1 tsp salt
1/2 c white vinegar
1 1/2 c mayonaise
1/2 clove buffalo wing orange sauce
4 Tbsp vegetable oil

Steps:

  • 1. Mix mayo Buffalo wing sauce. Fold in packaged chopped coleslaw.
  • 2. Add garlic, pepper, oregano, herbs of Provence, and mixed well.
  • 3. Add chopped tiny green pepper for taste and crunch.
  • 4. Add chopped green onion; mix well.
  • 5. If you need more than 6 servings, add another bag of coleslaw and double the may buffalo sauce.
  • 6. I use milk but of course you can use hot if you like it. Mix all well.
  • 7. Add white vinegar & oil last. Mix well. Add more to taste.
  • 8. I don't prefer sugar or salt but add to your own taste.
  • 9. I love it in my BBQ chicken sliders or sandwiches as well as a great side stand alone.
