SLOW COOKER BROWNIE BOTTOMS

1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 1/2 cups packaged brownie mix
1 package (2.75 ounce size) instant chocolate pudding mix
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
2 eggs
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

Steps:

  • Lightly grease a 4-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, 3/4 cup water and cocoa powder and bring to a boil. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients and 1/2 cup water to form a batter. Spread batter in slow cooker; pour boiling mixture over batter. Cover; cook on high heat setting 1 1/2 hours. Turn off heat and let stand 30 minutes. Serve warm topped with whipped cream or ice cream.

A co-worker couldn't decide on her favorite for her birthday treat, brownies or chocolate chip cookies, so she said I should just pick one. On the way home I thought this up and couldn't find it on Allrecipes so I created it. These go quickly; I usually make a double batch in a jelly roll pan.

½ cup butter, softened
½ cup light brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup white sugar
½ cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
⅓ cup cocoa powder
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon baking powder
⅛ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Beat softened butter, light brown sugar, 1/4 cup white sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract together in a large bowl until creamy. Add 1 egg; beat until light and creamy, about 2 minutes.
  • Whisk 1 1/4 cups flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and baking soda together in a bowl. Gradually stir flour mixture into butter mixture until dough is combined. Stir chocolate chips into dough. Spread dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to cover completely.
  • Stir 1 cup white sugar, melted butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract together in a bowl; add 2 eggs and beat well. Mix cocoa powder into butter mixture until well-combined. Stir 1/2 cup flour, baking powder, and 1/8 teaspoon salt into cocoa mixture until batter is combined. Pour brownie batter over cookie dough and spread to cover completely.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brookies comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Nonstick cooking spray
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup walnut halves, coarsely chopped
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 ounces)

Steps:

  • Lightly coat a 5-quart slow-cooker insert with cooking spray. Line bottom with parchment paper and lightly coat with spray. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  • Place butter and chocolate in a medium microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second increments, stirring after each, until chocolate is melted. Add sugar; stir to combine. Stir in eggs. Add flour mixture, walnuts, and chocolate chips and stir just until moistened (do not overmix). Transfer to slow cooker and smooth top.
  • Cover and cook on low, 3 1/2 hours. Uncover and cook 30 minutes. Remove insert from slow cooker and run a knife around edge to loosen brownies. Let cool completely in insert on a wire rack, about 2 hours. Turn out onto a work surface and cut into 14 brownies. Store in an airtight container, up to 2 days.

Awesome recipe given to me by a good friend. Very gooey and chocolaty! really delish with whipped cream or Ice cream on top. Pic is borrowed.

1 small pkg chocolate instant pudding mix
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 eggs
1/2 c water
3 Tbsp butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1. Lightly grease a 4 qt. crockpot with nonstick cooking spray. Mix together in small sauce pan the first 3 ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • 2. In a bowl combine remaining ingredients to for a batter. Pour batter into crockpot and spread around to cover bottom. Pour boiling mixture over batter DO NOT STIR! Cover and cook on high for 90 mins. Turn off heat and let stand for 30 mins. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!!
