Number Of Ingredients 9

4 green or black tea bags
9 cups water, divided
2 cups brandy
1 can (12 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 can (12 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
EACH SERVING:
1/4 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
GARNISH:
Lime wedge, optional

Steps:

  • Place tea bags in a small bowl. Bring 2 cups water to a boil; pour over tea bags. Cover and steep for 5 minutes. Discard tea bags. Transfer tea to a large pitcher; stir in the brandy, lemonade concentrate, juice concentrate and remaining water. Pour into a 4-qt. freezer container. Freeze overnight or until set., For each serving, scoop 3/4 cup slush into a rocks glass. Pour lemon-lime soda into the glass; if desired, serve with lime wedge.

5 cups boiling water
4 (2 g) bags green tea
1 cup white sugar
1 (16 ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
1 (16 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
2 cups brandy
1 (2 liter) bottle lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage

Steps:

  • Steep tea in 2 cups boiling water for 10 minutes. Place remaining 3 cups boiling water in a 9x13 inch pan. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Stir in lemonade concentrate, orange juice concentrate, and brandy. Remove tea bags and stir tea into mixture. Freeze overnight.
  • To serve, scoop desired amount into glass, then fill glass with lemon-lime soda, and stir.

4-1/2 cups water, divided
2 tea bags
1 cup sugar
1 cup apricot brandy
3/4 cup thawed orange juice concentrate
3/4 cup thawed lemonade concentrate
EACH SERVING:
1/4 cup lemon-lime soda

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, bring 1 cup water to a boil; remove from heat. Add tea bags; steep, covered, 3-5 minutes according to taste. Discard tea bags. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Cool., Stir in apricot brandy, juice concentrates and remaining water. Transfer to a 2-qt. freezer container. Freeze, covered, 6 hours or overnight., For each serving, scoop 3/4 cup slush into a rocks glass. Pour soda into glass. Serve immediately.

7 green tea bags
4 cups boiling water
7 cups water
2 cups sugar
1 can (12 ounces) frozen orange juice concentrate
1 can (12 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate
1 cup brandy
1 cup whiskey
2 liters lemon-lime soda, chilled
Optional: Cranberries and assorted citrus slices

Steps:

  • Place tea bags in a 4-cup glass measuring cup. Add boiling water; steep 3-5 minutes according to taste. Discard tea bags. Cool tea slightly., In a 6-qt. stockpot, combine 7 cups water and sugar; bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Stir in orange juice and lemonade concentrates, brandy, whiskey and cooled tea. Transfer to freezer containers, allowing headspace for expansion; freeze at least 12 hours., To serve, place 1/2 cup slush in each glass; top each with 1/2 cup soda. If desired, garnish with cranberries and citrus slices.

3 cups white sugar
2 tea bags
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen orange juice
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade
16 fluid ounces apricot brandy

Steps:

  • Bring 7 cups water to a boil in a large saucepan; add sugar and stir until dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool syrup to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
  • Bring 2 cups water to a boil in a small saucepan; remove from heat and add tea bags. Steep until water is room temperature, about 30 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags.
  • Pour brewed tea over syrup. Add orange juice, lemonade, and apricot brandy; stir well to combine. Pour into a wide-mouth container. Freeze slush mixture for 3 days, stirring twice a day with a wooden spoon to achieve a slushy consistency.

In the summertime, when it was her turn to host, my mom would make this wonderful cool beverage as part of her buffet of snacks and goodies. A cool glass of Brandy Slush also often made family gatherings more tolerable... was it the coolness of the drink, or the brandy that did it? I'm not telling! (Time required to freeze beverage is not included in the time to make.)

2 c water
4 tea bags
7 c water
2 c sugar
1 12 ounce frozen orange juice
1 12 ounce frozen lemonade
2 c brandy
liter bottles of 7 up or lemon lime soda

Steps:

  • 1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add tea bags. Let steep.
  • 2. On the stove top, heat the 7 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar until sugar is dissolved. Combine tea, sugar/water mixture and the frozen juices and brandy. Freeze completely. (It will not freeze solid due to the brandy, and this is why it is like a slushy when scooped out.)
  • 3. Scoop out brandy mixture that has been frozen with an ice cream scoop into glasses. Top off with a splash of 7 up.

4 tea bags (I used ginger peach decaf)
2 c. boiling water
1 1/2 c. sugar
7 c. warm water
2 c. apricot brandy
1 12 oz can frozen OJ, thawed
1 12 oz can frozen lemonade, thawed
Optional: crushed pineapple

Steps:

  • Pour 2 c. boiling water over tea bags and steep for 20-30 minutes. Remove tea bags when tea is very strong and still warm. Put 1½ c. sugar into large mixing bowl. Pour warm tea over sugar and stir until dissolved. Add 7 c. warm water. Stir well. Add undiluted cans of OJ and lemonade. Add apricot brandy. Stir well. Add pineapple, if desired. Pour into freezing containers. Freeze for 10-12 hours. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving.

This has been in my family for ages. It Is a smooth drink.

9 c water
2 c sugar
3 tea bags
1-12 oz can of orange juice concentrate
1-12 oz can of lemonade concentrate
2 c brandy peach or apricot
1 liter of ginger ale (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Boil 7 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar in a large pot.
  • 2. Remove from heat.
  • 3. Add tea bags. Leave in pot until the liquid is a golden color.
  • 4. Remove tea bags and add: orange and lemonade concentrate.
  • 5. Add 2 more cups of water.
  • 6. Add peach or apricot flavorred brandy.
  • 7. Remove from heat and let cool.
  • 8. Place in large plastic container.
  • 9. Freeze 2 to 3 days.
  • 10. When ready to serve, scoop ice mixture in glass. Add ginger ale. If you do not add ginger ale, it is still good.

2 cups water
2 cups sugar
2 cups hot water
4 GREEN tea bags
5 cups cold water
1 can (12 oz.) frozen lemonade (yellow not pink)
1 can (12 oz.) frozen orange juice
2 cups brandy - make sure it is exactly 2 cups (for more or less and it won't freeze right)

Steps:

  • Mix together 2 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar and heat (either on top of stove or in microwave) to dissolve sugar. Make tea with 2 cups hot water and 4 green tea bags (let it seep for awhile). Take the above two (tea & sugar water) and put into a large plastic container that can go in the freezer. Add to this: 5 cups cold water, lemonade, orange juice, and brandy. Stir all together and freeze - overnight is good.
  • Take out container and stir - should be a slush consistency.
  • To serve: scoop some of the slush into a glass 8-12 oz. and pour 7UP/Sprite type soda over the top - stir with a spoon and serve with a straw. Great for summer days!
