This Healthy Homemade French Dressing Recipe is a healthier twist on a classic! It takes just minutes to whip up and is full of extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, maple syrup, onion, paprika, and salt!

1/2 cup extra virgin oil
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup (I used a no sugar added variety)
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/2 - 2 tablespoons grated onion (depends on how onion-y you want it)
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 - 1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Place oil, vinegar, ketchup, maple syrup, grated onion, paprika, and salt into a mason jar, blender, or food processor.
  • Seal and shake or blend until well combined.
  • Taste and re-season if necessary.
  • Use immediately.
  • Store leftovers in a sealed airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Let come to room temperature before serving.

1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 small onion, minced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon paprika
1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • In a blender or food processor, combine the first seven ingredients; cover and process until blended. While processing, gradually add the oil in a steady stream. Process until thickened. Store in the refrigerator.

1 cup red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
Juice of one lemon
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dry English mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup olive oil
3 cups salad oil

Steps:

  • Blend together all ingredients except the oils. Using a whisk or food processor, combine the oils and add them in a very fine stream, continuing to whisk until the mixture is well combined. Chill and shake thoroughly before serving.

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon mustard powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 medium onion, grated
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
1 cup cider vinegar
1 cup vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, peeled

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the paprika, sugar, salt, mustard powder, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, onion, tomato soup, cider vinegar and vegetable oil. Beat with an electric mixer. Do not use a blender. Pour into a jar. Skewer the garlic clove on a toothpick, and place into the jar. Refrigerate until needed.
