One 750-ml bottle crisp white wine, such as a Sancerre
One 24 1/2-ounce bottle Italian blood orange soda
1 1/4 cups freshly squeezed orange juice
1 blood orange, sliced
1 cup blueberries, washed

Steps:

  • Combine the white wine and blood orange soda in a large pitcher or drink dispenser. Stir in the orange juice, orange slices and blueberries. Serve over ice.

Any good quality fruity red wine will work in this recipe. Combine a pinot noir and Beaujolais for a good taste. You can also substitute navel oranges for blood oranges if needed. This recipe is from Cooking Light.

2 cups sliced strawberries
2 cups apple juice
2/3 cup triple sec
1/2 cup sugar
4 whole cloves
3 seedless blood oranges, each cut into 16 wedges
2 (750 ml) bottles red wine, fruity
2 cinnamon sticks, 3 inches each
1 lemon, cut into 8 wedges
1 lime, cut into 8 wedges

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and stir until sugar dissolves. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight. Discard cloves and cinnamon sticks. Pour sangria into individual glasses, including the fruit.

2 blood oranges, juiced
1 lime, juiced
2 blood oranges, sliced thinly
1 lime, sliced thinly
1 tablespoon sugar
1 bottle of red wine, I used a cabernet
2 tablespoons triple sec
1 teaspoon mint, minced
3 cups blood orange sparkling juice
Blackberries and minced mint for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine all the ingredients (except for the garnish and the sparkling juice) together in a large jug. Stir well and place in the fridge overnight. When ready to serve pour the sparkling juice in the jug and pour into individual cups. Garnish with mint and blackberries.
