BISQUICK CORNBREAD DOGS
These corn dogs are just like the ones you remember from when you were a kid. Make a large batch and serve with a variety of prepared mustards for a dipping party.

- *Preheat oven to 200°F.
- *16 cup saucepan or deep fryer.
- * Candy/deep-fry thermometer.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat about 4 inches of oil until thermometer registers 360°F.
- In a large bowl, blend biscuit mix, cornmeal, milk, egg, butter and honey to make a smooth batter. Let stand for 10 minutes. Pat wieners pieces dry. Dip wiener pieces, one at a time, into mixture, coating all sides.
- Place wiener pieces in hot oil, 4 at a time, and deep fry, turning once, until golden brown, about 15 seconds per side. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Transfer to an ovenproof platter and keep warm in preheated oven. Make sure oil is the correct temperature before adding each batch.
- Serves 12 for appetizers or 8 as a main dish.
- TIP: If you are using jumbo wieners, you will only need 4. Use beef or chicken dogs interchangeably.
- VARIATION: For a little bite, add 1 teaspoons hot pepper flakes to the batter prior to frying.

- Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray. Layer hot dog pieces and onion in pie plate.
- In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk and eggs with wire whisk or fork until blended. Pour into pie plate. Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with ketchup and mustard.

- Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 9x5x3 inch pan. Cut hot dogs lengthwise, not completely apart. Fill each with a strip of cheese or relish. Beat remaining ingredients with fork for 30 seconds. CHEESY CHILI DOG PIE - BISQUICK
Once again I was on a mission to use up some leftover chili, after perusing several recipes on the net, I created this. Using recipe#496140. Any chili will do, used canned if you are in a hurry. Prep time does not include time to make your own chili.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°F Spray (deep) 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray.
- In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk and eggs with wire whisk or fork until blended.
- Pour a thin layer of prepared Bisquick batter to the bottom of the pie plate.
- Drop dollops of chili over bottom of pie plate, spread out a bit and top with sliced hotdogs and 1/2 of cheese.
- Pour remaining prepared Bisquick batter over chili & cheese.
- Bake 45 minutes, top with remaining cheese then continue baking for 5-10 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean and center does not jiggle when shook. Depending on how deep your pie plate is, it may take close to 60 minutes to bake. NOTE: If it is getting too brown, cover edges with foil. and continue baking.
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with desired toppings.

- Heat oven to 425°F. Grease cookie sheet. Mix Bisquick, milk and mustard until soft dough forms; beat 30 seconds. Turn dough onto surface dusted with Bisquick; roll in Bisquick to coat. Shape into ball; knead 10 times.
- Roll dough into 13-inch circle; cut into 8 wedges. Place about 1 teaspoon pickle relish and 1 cheese strip on each wedge about 1 inch from rounded edge. Top with hot dog. Roll up, beginning at rounded edge. Place crescents, with tips underneath, on cookie sheet.
- Bake about 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with additional pickle relish.
