Number Of Ingredients 7

1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1 cup chopped cooked turkey or chicken
1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1/2 cup frozen peas
1/4 cup 2% milk
Dash each ground cumin, dried basil and thyme
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine soup, turkey, mushrooms, peas, milk and seasonings. Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking dish; arrange biscuits over top., Bake, uncovered, 20-25 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

Number Of Ingredients 14

3 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
FILLING:
1 cup butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups milk
2 cups diced cooked turkey
1 jar (6 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Combine the egg, butter, water and lemon juice; stir into dry ingredients until a soft dough forms. Spread half of the dough into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish., In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour and salt until smooth; gradually add the milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1-2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in turkey and mushrooms. Pour over biscuit dough. Drop remaining dough into nine biscuits onto turkey mixture. Bake at 425° for 15-20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
