One day my daughter called and ask me for a recipe for meatballs. Well I had not made meatballs in years but I pulled out this recipe and it has become a family favorite! She said if her sister knows shes making them she is on her doorstep! They are easy to make and can be added to your favorite sauce.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 pound(s) extra lean ground beef
1 pound(s) italian pork sausage
3 large eggs
1 cup(s) panko bread crumbs
1 can(s) tomato paste, italian (6 oz)
1 tablespoon(s) italian seasoning
1 teaspoon(s) salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375. In mixing bowl combine all items and mix together well. I use the dough hook on my mixer to mix mine it works fantastic!
  • scoop into meatballs about 1 and 1/2 inches round. Place in baking pan and bake in oven for about 25 minutes or until done. Now add to your favorite sauce and enjoy! Just that easy!

A family recipe for the very best game day cocktail appetizer meatballs. Easy enough to double for larger, rowdy, hungry crowds... like mine on Packer game day! =)

Number Of Ingredients 14

MEATBALLS
1 - lb. ground chuck
1 - egg, beaten
1/2 - cup dry breadcrumbs
1 - small onion, minced
1 - tsp. dried parsley flakes
1 - tb. worcestershire sauce
1/2 - tsp. salt
1/4 - tsp. pepper
1/2 - tsp. garlic powder
SAUCE
2 - cups ketchup (a thick, slow pouring ketchup will produce a delicious sauce that will cling to meatballs. a thin ketchup will result in a thin sauce.)
1 - cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 - tb. worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Meatballs: Combine all ingredients in a large ziplock bag. Mix until just well blended. Shape into 1" balls. Place on parchment lined, rimmed cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until cooked through.
  • For Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cook until hot and blended. Add meatballs; heat through. Serve hot with cocktail picks.
