1 beef flank steak (1-1/2 to 2 pounds)
1/2 cup plus 1/3 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce, divided
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons butter, divided
3 large eggs, beaten
2 cups cold cooked rice
1 package (9 ounces) frozen peas and pearl onions

Steps:

  • Place steak in a shallow dish. In a small bowl, whisk 1/2 cup soy sauce, vinegar, honey, ginger and garlic. Pour half of the marinade over steak; turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade. , Drain and discard marinade. Grill steak, covered, over medium heat or broil 3-4 in. from the heat for 7-9 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°). Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing., Meanwhile, transfer reserved marinade to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced by half. Set aside., In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat. Pour eggs into skillet. As eggs set, lift edges, letting uncooked portion flow underneath. When eggs are completely cooked, remove to plate. Chop eggs into small pieces; set aside., In the same skillet, stir-fry rice in remaining butter over medium-high heat. Stir in the peas, onions and remaining soy sauce., Add eggs; cook and stir until heated through. Thinly slice steak across the grain; serve over rice. Drizzle with sauce mixture.

1 lb. skirt steak
1/2 c. teriyaki sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. minced ginger
1/4 c. sliced scallions, plus 4 whole scallions
Juice of 1 lime
extra-virgin olive oil
kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp. Sesame seeds, for garnish

Steps:

  • Cut steak crosswise into 3 equal pieces.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together teriyaki sauce, garlic, ginger, scallions, and lime. Add the steak and toss so that the meat is fully coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set in refrigerator for at 30 minutes and up to 2 hours.
  • After the steak has time to marinate, preheat grill (or grill pan) to medium-high and oil the grates.
  • Once hot, remove the meat from the marinade and place on the grill. Add scallions to the grill and brush with oil. Season both with salt and pepper. Cook steak for about 3 minutes per side (depending on the thickness) for medium-rare.
  • Remove steak from grill and transfer it to a cutting board. Cover with foil and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds.

Steps:

4 Sirloin Steaks - You can also Round or Flank Steak
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup honey
2 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • Whisk together all the marinade ingredients in a small bowl (all the ingredients except for the steak).
  • Cover the steaks with the marinade by placing them in a storage bag or bowl. Allow the steaks to marinade for at least 4 hours but you can also marinade over night.
  • Remove the steaks from your refrigerator 45-60 minutes prior to grilling to allow them to come to room temperature.

1 can (14 ounces) baby corn nuggets, drained
1/4 cup water
4 cups uncooked fine egg noodles (8 ounces)

  • Cut beef with grain into 2-inch strips; cut strips across grain into 1/8-inch slices. Place beef in shallow glass or plastic dish.
