Steps:
- In a small sauce pan add the crushed pineapple (including the juices), sugar, and cornstarch. Heat it over medium heat until it starts to get bubbly and thicken, stirring frequently. Cook for 2 more minutes, continuing to stir, then remove from heat.
- Pour into glass mason jars, cover and let cool for at least 1 hour.
- Combine the strawberries and sugar in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Stir, and use a potato masher to break down strawberries to your desired consistency.
- Add the cornstarch and continue stirring frequently until the mixture bubbles and thickens. Continue cooking for 2 minutes, then remove from heat and pour into mason jars. Cover and let cool for at least 1 hour.
- In a small but heavy saucepan melt the chocolate and butter. Add the sugar, and gradually stir in the evaporated milk. Bring the chocolate mixture to a boil, then reduce heat. Boil gently over low heat for 8 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove the pan from heat, cool slightly. Serve warm.

GRILLED BANANA SPLITS
Steps:
- Cut a small piece off the curved side of 4 unpeeled bananas so they'll sit level, then make a deep slit down the center of each through the peel; place on separate sheets of foil. Open the slits and brush the inside of each banana with melted butter, then sprinkle with sugar and 1 ounce chopped semisweet chocolate; fold up the foil. Grill the packets over high heat until the chocolate melts, 6 to 8 minutes (don't worry if the peel turns brown). Open the peels and top the bananas with ice cream, whipped cream, sprinkles and a cherry.

PINEAPPLE BANANA SPLIT CRISP
When I came up with this fruit combination, it reminded me of a banana split. I added the chocolate chips and ice cream to make it complete. I love that this is so quick to prepare. -Connie Reed, Bourbonnais, Illinois
