- Steam green beans until tender-crisp, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and drain. Meanwhile, mix bouillon and water; stir to blend. Heat small heavy-bottomed skillet (I use cast iron). Pour in bouillon mixture, Balsamic, and garlic salt. Blend. When bubbling, add green beans and cook until liquid is absorbed and beans have a nice nut brown glaze, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve.

GREEN BEANS WITH MUSHROOMS, BALSAMIC AND PARMESAN
I like this as a side dish when we have grilled steak or a marinated flank steak. The balsamic and Parmesan touch really adds a lot of flavor.

- 1. Preheat oven to 450°F/230°C.
- 2. Put beans, mushrooms and onion into a large zip-lock bag (or a large mixing bowl).
- 3. Whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and shake bag until vegetables are well coated.
- 4. Arrange vegetables on a large baking sheet, spreading them out so beans and mushrooms aren't too crowded. Roast in oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until beans are tender-crisp and all liquid from the mushrooms has evaporated. Sprinkle chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese on top, and serve immediately.
