APPLE BROWNIES
This was my Mom's recipe. Easy and quick to make. Apples and walnuts are packed into a cinnamon spiced blonde brownie. Always a hit when I bring it to parties. Very moist and great to make in the fall when apples are plentiful.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, beat together the melted butter, sugar, and egg until fluffy. Fold in the apples and walnuts. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. Stir the flour mixture into the wet mixture until just blended. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Moist, cake-like brownie that is perfect for fall. Everyone asks me for this recipe once they've tasted them. Wonderful served warm with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Beat butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and eggs together in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Beat flour into creamed butter mixture until well combined; add baking powder and beat. Stir cinnamon into batter. Fold apples into batter; spread into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs, about 45 minutes.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour 9x13 pan.
- 2. Peel and core about 3 to 4 apples. Finely chop apples (you want the pieces small).
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Whisk together.
- 4. Add eggs, oil, and orange juice. Mix well. I use a wooden spoon to mix.
- 5. Fold in diced apples (the batter will be thick).
- 6. Spread into the prepared baking pan.
- 7. Bake at 325 for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- 8. Eat and enjoy!

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350° and set a rack to the middle position. Generously grease the 11-by 7-inch baking baking dish with butter and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Set aside. In the bowl of a standing mixer at high speed or using a hand-held mixer, beat together the butter, sugar, and egg until pale, about 2 minutes. Add the walnuts and apples and stir by hand until evenly combined. Add the flour mixture and stir until combined, another 30 seconds.
- Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake until golden brown and lightly firm to the touch, 40 to 50 minutes. Let cool on a rack for 30 minutes, then cut into 12 bars and transfer to a serving platter.
