A simple but elegant way to make breakfast fast. Put together the night before, and bake while you're in the shower. Serve with lots of extra maple syrup! You may also add extra raisins if you wish.

- 1. Butter a casserole dish. In a bowl whisk the milk, vanilla, sugar, eggs, maple Syrup, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon together. Set aside.
- 2. Rip bread in to pieces like you would for stuffing. Toss in egg mixture with the apples and raisins. Coat evenly.
- 3. Pour in to a casserole dish. Drizzle melted butter over it. Mix 2 TB sugar with a 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle over casserole. Dot with pieces of cream cheese. Cover with saran and put in fridge at least 3 hours or over night .
- 4. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes, or until lightly browned. I drizzle a little more butter over it before serving. Serve right away after removing from oven. Dust with powdered sugar, or serve with syrup.

- In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Set aside., In a small bowl, combine apples, lemon juice, sugar and pie spice. Arrange half of the bread slices in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Top with apples; drizzle with half of the caramel sauce. Sprinkle with pecans; top with remaining bread., In a large bowl, combine eggs, milk, salt and vanilla. Pour over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Cover and refrigerate remaining caramel sauce., Remove strata from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
