However, making this dish can be tricky, especially if you are new to barbecue cooking. In this article, we will provide some valuable tips on how to make the perfect apple glazed barbecued chicken without any recipe.

Tip #1: Choose the Right Type of Chicken

The key to making a great apple glazed barbecued chicken is to start with the right type of chicken. The ideal cut of chicken for barbecue cooking is the thigh or leg. These cuts are more flavorful and tender than the breast, which can dry out quickly on the grill. You can use bone-in or boneless chicken, depending on your preference.

Tip #2: Season the Chicken Properly

To ensure that your apple glazed barbecued chicken is flavorful, it is essential to season it properly. You can use a dry rub or a marinade to season the chicken. A simple dry rub can consist of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix these ingredients in a bowl and coat the chicken generously with the rub. You can let the chicken marinate in the rub for at least an hour in the refrigerator before grilling.

Tip #3: Use the Right Type of Wood Chips

The type of wood chips you use for barbecue cooking can make all the difference in the flavor of your apple glazed barbecued chicken. Different types of wood chips produce different flavors. For example, hickory wood chips will give your chicken a smoky flavor, while mesquite wood chips will give it a bold and spicy flavor. Apple wood chips, on the other hand, will complement the flavor of the apple glaze. So, for this recipe, it is best to use apple wood chips.

Tip #4: Preheat the Grill

Before you start grilling, it is important to preheat the grill. This will ensure that the grill is at the right temperature when you start cooking the chicken. Preheating the grill will also help to prevent sticking.

Tip #5: Use a Meat Thermometer

To ensure that your apple glazed barbecued chicken is cooked perfectly, it is important to use a meat thermometer. You can insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken to check the internal temperature. The ideal internal temperature for chicken is 165°F.

Tip #6: Baste the Chicken with the Glaze

To add extra flavor to the chicken, it is important to baste it with the apple glaze while it is cooking. You can use a brush to apply the glaze to the chicken every 10-15 minutes. This will help to keep the chicken moist and flavorful.

Tip #7: Let the Chicken Rest

After you have finished grilling the chicken, it is important to let it rest for a few minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it juicier and more tender.

Conclusion

Apple glazed barbecued chicken is a delicious and flavorful dish that is perfect for any barbecue party. By following these valuable tips, you can make the perfect apple glazed barbecued chicken without any recipe. Remember to choose the right type of chicken, season it properly, use the right type of wood chips, preheat the grill, use a meat thermometer, baste the chicken with the glaze, and let it rest before serving.
