2 tablespoons cornstarch

2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 vanilla bean, split
5 tablespoons (2 1/2 ounces) unsalted butter
3 medium Golden Delicious apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/4-inch dice
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons Calvados or applejack
2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Sift together the confectioners' sugar, flour, and salt into a bowl.
