1 cup diced granny smith apple
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
5 slices bacon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Coat a 2-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the bacon and mix well.
  • Pour into the baking dish and lay the raw strips of bacon on top.
  • Cover and bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until thick and bubbly.
  • Uncover and bake for 5 more minute.

1 (48 ounce) jar great northern beans, drained
4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine
3 cups cubed tart cooking apples
1/2 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup catsup
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt (to taste)
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Melt the butter in a large skillet.
  • Add the apples and onions.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes, or until the apples are tender.
  • Add brown sugar to skillet.
  • Stir until dissolved.

1 tablespoon prepared mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F Coat a 1 1/2-quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the bacon and mix well.
  • Pour into the baking dish and lay the raw strips of bacon on top (I cut the bacon into pieces so it will mix in nicely later).
  • Cover and bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until thick and bubbly.
