⅓ cup vegetable oil
3 eggs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Valuable Tips for Making American Flag Cake Pops by Tasty Recipes Tasty Recipes is a go-to website for anyone who loves cooking and baking. One of their most popular recipes is the American Flag Cake Pops. These pops are not only delicious but also visually stunning, making them a perfect choice for any festive occasion. Here are some valuable tips that can help you make the perfect American Flag Cake Pops: 1. Use the Right Ingredients The first step to making perfect cake pops is to use high-quality ingredients. For this recipe, you will need a boxed cake mix (preferably white or vanilla flavored), frosting, candy melts (white, red, and blue), and lollipop sticks. You can use any type of frosting for this recipe, but cream cheese or vanilla frosting would be the best choices. 2. Prepare the Cake Mix and Frosting To prepare the cake mix, follow the instructions on the box to bake a cake. Once it has cooled down, crumble it into small pieces using your hands or a fork. Add a few tablespoons of frosting to the crumbled cake and mix well until it forms a dough-like consistency. It is important not to add too much frosting as it can make the cake pops too soft and sticky. 3. Chill the Cake Pops After forming the cake pop dough, chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This will make it easier to form the pops and prevent them from falling apart when dipped in the candy melts. 4. Shape the Cake Pops Once the dough has chilled, use your hands to form small balls, approximately 1- 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Insert the lollipop sticks into the cake balls, making sure they are firmly in place. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes to firm up the cake pops. 5. Melt the Candy Melts Melt the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until the candy is smooth and melted. Be careful not to overheat the candy as it can burn and become unusable. You can add a small amount of coconut oil or shortening to thin out the candy melts if they are too thick. 6. Dip the Cake Pops in Candy Melts Dip each cake pop into the candy melts, making sure it is completely coated. Tap off any excess candy and place the cake pops back on the baking sheet. Allow the candy to harden completely before proceeding to the next color. It is important to work quickly and gently when dipping the cake pops, as they can easily fall off the stick or break apart. 7. Create the Flag Decoration To create the flag decoration, start by dipping the cake pops in white candy melts. Once they are fully coated and hardened, use a toothpick or a piping bag to create blue stripes across the top left corner of the cake pop. Allow the blue candy to harden before proceeding to the next step. Finally, use a piping bag or toothpick to create red stripes across the rest of the cake pop. Allow the candy to harden completely before serving. 8. Store the Cake Pops Properly Store the cake pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. If you need to store them for longer, you can freeze them in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Make sure to place the cake pops in a single layer to prevent them from sticking together. In conclusion, making American Flag Cake Pops by Tasty Recipes is a fun and rewarding experience. By following these valuable tips, you can create the perfect cake pops that are not only delicious but also a show-stopping centerpiece for any festive occasion. Happy baking!
