GARLIC ANGEL HAIR SHRIMP

Garlic Angel Hair Shrimp image

This was inspired by one of my favorite restaurant pasta dishes. I keep the lemon separate until the end due to a picky family member, but you could add it earlier if everyone likes lemon. Do not use pre-cooked shrimp and don't overcook the shrimp.

EASY SHRIMP AND ANGEL HAIR PASTA

Easy Shrimp and Angel Hair Pasta image

I took a basic scampi recipe (Thanks NurseDi) and updated it for what I had on hand. Also faster to prepare if you use the garlic already minced, mushrooms from a can and so forth, fresh could of course be used. My husband loved it, he's a huge garlic fan. I recommend a regular Italian Dressing instead of a fat free, for the oil content.

Angel hair pasta with shrimp is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that you can prepare for any occasion. This dish is loved by many because it is simple, light, and satisfying. Here are some valuable tips that you should keep in mind when making angel hair pasta with shrimp recipes.
1. Use Fresh Ingredients
One of the most important tips for making amazing angel hair pasta with shrimp recipes is to use fresh ingredients. Fresh shrimp and herbs will make a huge difference in the flavor of your dish. Fresh shrimp have a sweet and savory taste, and they cook quickly, which makes them a perfect ingredient for this recipe. Fresh herbs like parsley, basil, and oregano will add a bright and fresh flavor to your dish.
2. Cook the Shrimp Properly
Cooking shrimp properly is essential to ensure that they are tender and juicy. Overcooked shrimp will become tough and rubbery, so it's important to watch them closely while cooking. When cooking shrimp, you should only cook them until they turn pink and are opaque inside. This should take anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes, depending on the size of the shrimp.
3. Season the Dish with Salt and Pepper
Salt and pepper are essential seasonings that you should use in any dish, especially angel hair pasta with shrimp. Salt enhances the flavor of the pasta and shrimp, while pepper adds a pop of heat and flavor. Make sure that you season the dish to taste, but be careful not to oversalt it.
4. Use the Right Amount of Olive Oil
Olive oil is a crucial ingredient in this recipe as it coats the pasta and gives it a lovely, silky texture. However, it's important not to use too much olive oil, as this can make the dish greasy. Use a tablespoon or two of olive oil to cook the shrimp, and then drizzle a bit more over the pasta before serving.
5. Add Vegetables for Color and Flavor
Adding vegetables like cherry tomatoes, asparagus, and bell peppers can add color, flavor, and nutrition to your dish. They also provide a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors of the pasta and shrimp. Make sure that you chop the vegetables into bite-sized pieces for easy eating.
6. Use the Right Ratio of Pasta to Shrimp
The ratio of pasta to shrimp is essential to making a delicious and balanced dish. Typically, you should use about 8 ounces of pasta for every pound of shrimp. This will ensure that you have enough pasta to soak up the sauce and enough shrimp to add texture and flavor.
7. Don't Overcook the Pasta
Cooking the angel hair pasta just right is crucial to making a delicious dish. Overcooked pasta will become mushy and lose its texture. To prevent this, make sure that you cook the pasta until it's al dente, or firm to the bite. This should take about 3-4 minutes in boiling water.
8. Use High-Quality Parmesan Cheese
Parmesan cheese is a delicious and essential ingredient in this dish. However, it's important to use high-quality parmesan cheese as this will add a rich and nutty flavor to the dish. Make sure that you grate the cheese finely and sprinkle it on top of the dish just before serving.
9. Garnish with Fresh Herbs
Garnishing the dish with fresh herbs like parsley or basil is a simple way to add a burst of freshness to the dish. These herbs will also provide a pop of color and fragrance that will enhance the presentation of your dish.
10. Serve the Dish Immediately
Angel hair pasta with shrimp is best served immediately, as the pasta will begin to absorb the sauce and lose its texture if left to sit for too long. Serve the dish hot, with freshly grated parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of fresh herbs on top. In conclusion, angel hair pasta with shrimp is a simple and delicious dish that you can prepare for any occasion. By following these valuable tips, you can make an amazing angel hair pasta with shrimp recipe that is sure to impress your friends and family.
