ALMOST WHITE CASTLE HAMBURGERS
These are really close to the real thing. My family was in heaven! They're great for dinner, football parties, or kid's birthday parties. I'm not real fond of White Castle myself but I gobbled these up. Note: To freeze: Assemble hamburgers less the condiments. Flash freeze, wrap in plastic wrap, put in a ziplock bag and label. To heat: Microwave until heated through.

Similar to recipe #109264, but different too. Try them both and decide for yourself which one you like. Of course, we think these are the BEST - hope you do too! If a product name is mentioned, it's just what we personally use or prefer; other brands will work just as well I'm sure. Got this recipe from a friend and as Lucy said: "Here is a recipe for the best Whities you've ever had! Be sure to make a bunch of them - they go like hotcakes!!!" Figure 2 to 4 Whities for appetizer servings, 3 to 8 Whities as a main course. (Remember that teenagers will consume vast amounts more than we middle aged parents!) Sometimes it's impossible to find the 24 to a package party rolls, much less in an aluminum tray. You can use the rolls in a 12-pack - you'll just end up with bigger Whities.

- Add the package of onion soup mix and the cheese and mix well.
- When the cheese is melted, add the mayonnaise and mix until well blended.
- Slice horizontally through the rolls so you end up with a top and a bottom.
- Spread mixture over the bottom rolls. Add a pickle slice if desired.
- Place the top of the rolls back on and set the whole thing back into the aluminum tray the rolls came in and wrap tightly in aluminum foil. (Or just wrap in foil if there's no aluminum tray.).
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- To serve, set on plate and break apart into individual rolls.
- These freeze well, but freeze without the pickle slice. You can bake these frozen, they'll just take a little longer in the oven.

Almost White Castle Hamburgers Recipes: Understanding the Iconic American Fast Food Staple
White Castle is one of the most iconic fast food chains in the United States, and their burgers are perhaps the most legendary of all fast food burgers around. These burgers have a cult following, and aficionados of the brand can go to great lengths to find a White Castle location in their area. However, not everyone is fortunate enough to have a White Castle nearby or perhaps they want to replicate the experience of eating a White Castle burger in the comfort of their own home. For those, there are many recipes available that come close to replicating the experience of a White Castle burger, and this article will delve into the world of almost White Castle hamburgers recipes.
What is a White Castle Burger?
A White Castle burger is a small, square-shaped burger made with a thin beef patty that is seared on a bed of onions. The bun is also unique in that it is tiny and steamed, with a specific style of cooking that makes it incredibly soft and pliable. The standard fixings include pickles and onions, with an option for cheese to be added. Many people rave about the distinctive flavor of White Castle burgers, and part of that signature taste comes from the cooking technique and the use of onions that are cooked alongside the patty.
Almost White Castle Hamburgers Recipes
The good news is that replicating the flavor and style of a White Castle burger is not impossible. In recent years, many people have tried and tested various Almost White Castle Hamburgers Recipes to come up with the most authentic recipe for home cooking. Here are some key ingredients and techniques used to make almost White Castle hamburgers:
- Onions: Onions are a key ingredient in White Castle burgers, and they add a distinctive flavor to the patty. To replicate the flavor, cooks need to finely chop onions and sauté them until they are soft and fragrant. The onions should be mixed in with the patty mixture, and some recipe variations may even call for additional onions to be added on top of the patty before serving.
- Beef Patty: The beef patty should also be thin, and cooks should use ground beef that has a higher fat content to replicate the flavor of White Castle burgers. The patty should fit perfectly into the steamed buns, so the size of the patty should be adjusted accordingly. Meatloaf mix that contains pork and beef in equal parts is also recommended to achieve the same texture and flavor.
- Buns: The bun is an essential element of a White Castle burger, and the buns should be small and square-shaped. Steaming the buns is a critical step in the process, which makes them soft, pliable, and easy to eat. Buns used for Egg McMuffin are most similar to the White Castle bun, so try to find them in a store if possible.
- Pickles: No White Castle burger recipe would be complete without pickles. The pickles should be sliced thinly and placed on top of the patty, so their flavor is present with each bite.
- Assembly: The final step is to assemble the burgers. Stack the meat patty with onions and pickle on top of a steamed bun. If desired, cheese can be added to the top of the patty to achieve the classic taste.
Conclusion
White Castle burgers are an American staple, and their unique flavor has won the hearts of many across the country. Replicating the flavor of a White Castle burger can be challenging, but following Almost White Castle Hamburgers Recipes can help. From onions to meat mix to buns to pickles, each ingredient plays an equally important role in replicating the classic taste of White Castle burgers.
