Valuable Tips for Making Air Fryer Basil Parmesan Salmon Recipe

1. Choosing the Best Salmon
Selecting the right salmon is a significant step to making a delicious air fryer basil parmesan salmon. You have to ensure that the salmon fillet is fresh, wild-caught, and not frozen. Fresh salmon tastes better, and you can easily detect its freshness by its color. A bright red/orange color indicates freshness, while a dull, grayish color shows that it's not fresh. Avoid the frozen option as they have lost their natural flavor and texture to process.
2. Preparing the Salmon Fillet
How you prepare the salmon fillet also significantly affects its taste and texture. You must remove the skin of the fillet before cooking or cooking it directly with the skin, depending on your preference. Rinse the salmon fillet with cold water and pat dry with a paper towel to remove any moisture. This removes any remaining odor and prepares it for cooking.
3. Marinade
The marinade is an essential factor in elevating the flavor of any meal, especially salmon. Making a marinade for salmon is easy and can be done with a few simple ingredients. You can make a marinade of olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and herb that suits your taste buds. You can also add soy sauce or balsamic vinegar for an additional tangy flavor.
4. Preheat Your Air Fryer
Most air fryers come with preheat settings, and it's essential to preheat your air fryer to get the best results. Heating it first ensures that the cooking temperature goes up faster, and you won't have the risk of unevenly cooked salmon. Preheating ensures that the food cooks evenly as heat is evenly distributed.
5. Seasoning
Adding some salt, pepper, garlic powder, and other natural herbs can go a long way in elevating the flavor of your salmon. Ensure that you season your salmon generously before cooking, so it's not bland. Salmon's natural sweetness combined with the saltiness and other natural herbs can make you have a meal you won't forget.
6. Cooking Time and Temperature
For the best results, you need to cook your salmon in your air fryer at a temperature of 375°F for an average of 11-13 minutes, depending on your salmon fillet's thickness. Overcooking salmon can make them dry, and undercooking makes it unappetizing. When salmon is cooked correctly, it should be flaky and juicy, so you need to be wary of the time and temperature to get the best results.
7. Cleaning Your Air Fryer
After you’re done cooking, it's essential to clean your air fryer. Remove any residual ingredients from your air fryer basket and wipe it with a clean, damp cloth. Be careful not to use abrasive pads or harsh soaps as it may cause damage on the non-stick coating. Clean your fryer after each cooking session, and your appliance will last you a lot longer.

Conclusion

In conclusion, air fryer basil parmesan salmon is a healthy and delicious meal to add to your weekly menu. With the tips above, you can cook the perfect salmon every time using your air fryer. It's always recommended to use fresh salmon for the best results, and having the right marinade can elevate the flavor of your dish. Follow these tips, and you'll have a mouth-watering salmon dish that you and your family won’t be able to resist.
