1-1/2 teaspoons plus 1 tablespoon butter, divided
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 package (11-1/2 ounces) milk chocolate chips
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Line a 9-in. square pan with foil; grease foil with 1-1/2 teaspoons butter., In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and remaining butter, stirring after 1 minute and every 30 seconds thereafter. Stir in milk and vanilla. Spread into prepared pan. Refrigerate until firm., Using foil, lift fudge out of pan. Remove foil; cut fudge into 1-in. squares. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

My adopted recipe for fudge has reviews submitted that state the fudge did not set up well. I incorporated my recipe using sweetened condensed with this recipe and the fudge was firm and very tasty.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 tablespoons margarine
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
18 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups marshmallow miniatures
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Steps:

  • Melt chocolate chips and margarine with sweetened condensed milk over low heat. Remove pan from heat and fold in mini marshmallows and vanilla.
  • When mixture is well incorporated spread evenly into wax paper lined 8 or 9 inch square pan.
  • Chill 2 hours or until firm.
  • When firm turn fudge onto cutting board and remove wax paper. Cut into squares and store leftovers in covered container in refrigerator.
