- In a large pot, brown meat with chopped onion. Drain grease, if necessary.
- Add beans, tomatoes, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt and salsa to meat mixture.
- Cook until heated through.
- Serve with cornbread, cooked pasta, cooked rice, or on top of a baked potato. Sprinkle with cheese if desired.

- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the beef and onion and saute until meat is browned and onion is tender. Add the stewed tomatoes with juice, tomato sauce, beans and water.
- Season with the chili powder, garlic powder, salt and ground black pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 15 minutes.

- Place ground beef and onions in a pot and fry until beef is no longer pink.
- Drain grease off beef and onion mixture.
- Place chili beans, tomatos, mushrooms and seasoning into chili.
- Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
