this recipe is something i put together after going through all the ones i have, didn't really find any one that i was in the mood for so i improvised. it turned out great, my family loved it so much i am making it again tonight with the leftover rice!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 pkg turkey sausage, (polska kielbaska), cut into bite size pieces
2 medium zucchini, i quartered these
1 large onion, chopped
1 can(s) rotel tomatoes(i used chunky)
1/2-1 c chicken broth
fresh mushrooms, sliced(no measurement here, use as many as you like)
1/2 stick marg/light or reg, or real butter.
1-2 Tbsp self rising flour
1 clove garlic,diced
3-4 c rice, cook
FOR SEASONINGS I USED CAJUN AND SEASON ALL. A LITTLE GROUND SALT AND PEPPER

Steps:

  • 1. Heat margarine in skillet or pot. Add onions,garlic, zucchini, sausage, mushrooms and seasonings. Cook on medium heat until vegetables are tender.
  • 2. Add tomatoes and broth, continue cooking. Bring to a slow boil, mix a small amount of broth with flour, pour into pan, whisk until mixture thickens to a loose gravy consistency.
  • 3. Meanwhile cook rice as directed on box. Serve turkey mixture over hot rice. Enjoy!

Yield 8 patties.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pound lean ground turkey
2 tablespoons water
5 teaspoons butter-flavored sprinkles
1/2 teaspoon each dried thyme, basil and rubbed sage
1/4 teaspoon each dried marjoram, oregano, cayenne pepper and ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon each garlic powder, pepper, ground ginger and nutmeg

Steps:

  • Crumble turkey into a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Shape into eight patties. In a nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray, cook patties over medium heat until no longer pink and a thermometer reads 160°.
