- Cook first 5 ingredients with the juice from the clams.
- Cook gently until potatoes are tender.
- Add clams.
- Mix milk and flour.
- Stir into soup.
- Cook and stir until thickened.
- Add butter.
YUMMY CLAM CHOWDER
Steps:
- Dice vegetables and put in a pan. Drain clam juice and pour over vegetables. Add enough water to cover vegetables. Simmer until potatoes are tender (about 20 minutes).
- In another pan melt butter, add flour and stir together. Then with a whisk stir in half-and-half and salt until smooth and thick.
- Add vegetables and clams into sauce. Add sugar and heat through.
