PATE, FIG, AND CANDIED-WALNUT DANISH SANDWICHES
This inventive combination of ingredients -- pate and fresh figs -- makes for scrumptious mini sandwiches.

Steps:
- Spread 1 side of each bread slice with butter. Top each with a lettuce leaf; cut into quarters. Top each quarter with a slice of pate, a fig quarter, and a walnut.
WALNUT PATE SANDWICHES
Steps:
- Bake walnuts in 350 degree oven for 7-10 minutes until browned. Transfer to food processor, add beans, lemon juice, garlic, oil and 1/4 cup water (optional - I didn't add and liked the thicker texture). Puree until smooth. Serving suggestion: spread whole wheat bread slices with walnut pate, top with roasted red pepper or fig or pear and add arugula or spinach.
