- I don't think anyone needs a lesson in how to build a s'mores, but here's the idea...
- Using a stick, long grilling fork, or wood skewer, stick on a marshmallow and roast over an open flame for 30-60 seconds, or until toasted.
- Place roasted marshmallow between 2 graham crackers (or cookies, etc) lined with chocolate (or other toppings) Devour immediately.

- Prepare grill or campfire for low heat, using 16-18 charcoal briquettes or large wood chips., Line a cast-iron Dutch oven with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Combine cracker crumbs and butter; press into bottom of pan. Pour milk over crust and sprinkle with chocolate and butterscotch chips. Top with marshmallows. , Cover Dutch oven. When briquettes or wood chips are covered with white ash, place Dutch oven directly on top of 6 of them. Using long-handled tongs, place remaining briquettes on pan cover., Cook until marshmallows begin to melt, about 15 minutes. To check for doneness, use the tongs to carefully lift the cover.

After losing his piece of chocolate to the sandy beach one too many times, Hazel Brown's uncle, Scott Stewart, improved on the classic s'more. Dipping the graham cracker in melted chocolate keeps it firmly in place.

- Melt chocolate in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat, and let cool until slightly thickened. Holding graham cracker by the edges, dip 1 side of each cracker in chocolate, letting excess chocolate drip back into bowl. Put dry side down on a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet. Refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.
- Press each marshmallow onto the tip of a skewer or a clean whittled stick. Roast marshmallows, turning occasionally, until toasted to desired doneness. Place 1 or 2 marshmallows on a cracker, and top with another one.
