Vegan tofu whipped cream isn't quite the same as the dairy version, but this Vegan Tofu Whipped Cream recipe makes a fairly good substitute.

1 pound silken tofu
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup soy milk

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Combine the tofu, vanilla, and sugar in a blender or a food processor and process until smooth.
  • With the machine running, gradually add the soy milk through the feeder cap. Refrigerate until serving time.
  • Enjoy!

1 (12 ounce) package silken tofu
1/4 cup soy powdered milk
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons canola oil
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons turbinado sugar

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth.
  • Chill.
  • You can keep it in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
  • Makes 2 cups.

When you mix puree'd fruit and tofu you get a thick amazingly smooth and delicious pudding like mixture. Adjust the flavouring carefully top with some toasted flaked almonds and you have a popular, cholesterol free almost instant dessert.

175 -250 g bananas or 175 -250 g drained canned fruit
250 -300 g tofu
1 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

Steps:

  • Chop the fruit into a food precessor or blender.
  • Process until it forms a fairly smooth puree'.
  • Crumble in the tofu and process for about a minute, until very smooth, before gradually adding enough orange juice or wine and water to thin the mixture to the consistency you want.
  • Add sugar to taste. Add the vanilla.
  • Serve immediately or refridgerate.
